We are Claire and James Redhead, the founders of TPP Hydrotherapy and the operators of 2 medical hydrotherapy pools.

In 2019, we were recommended hydrotherapy to treat Claire’s chronic back problems. However, we were not able to find a suitable private hydrotherapy pool, so we used our savings and built our own!

By 2020, we were very conscious that the pool was under-used and could potentially be suitable for use as a medical facility.

We did some research and found that there was a growing shortage of private medical hydrotherapy facilities in England.
We immediately made the decision to open a medical hydrotherapy facility. In the same year, we became qualified hydrotherapy pool operators and found our highly experienced aquatic therapists.

Now 3 years on. We have treated over 500 patients, many with very complex conditions. We have been overwhelmed by the response from patients and the treatment they receive from our specialist aquatic physiotherapists.

We have also learned how it is possible to provide these amazing medical services and also become a successful and profitable healthcare business.

For the future, we want to share our knowledge by providing advice and support to people and organisations building a hydrotherapy pool for the first time. We are determined to play our part in helping make medical hydrotherapy treatment as accessible and affordable as possible. It is not easy, as hydrotherapy pools are expensive to run.

This is why we have started our advisory service offering a free half day of advice and support to new pool owners.
